Job Title: Corporate Accountant – Acquisition Integration (Remote – EST Preferred)
Location: Remote (Must reside in AZ, FL, GA, ID, IA, KY, MI, NE, NM, NY [excluding NYC], OH, TX, UT, WA [excluding Seattle], or WI)
Schedule: Full-time, EST time zone preferred
Compensation: $62.51/hour
Contract Type: 6 month contract possible direct hire or extension

Position Summary:
Our client, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking an experienced Corporate Accountant to support the integration of a recent acquisition into the parent company’s accounting platform. This role is 100% remote but requires candidates to be based in one of the 15 approved U.S. states and preferably available to work on Eastern Time. The ideal candidate will bring strong GAAP expertise, accounting systems proficiency, and exceptional Excel skills to ensure a seamless integration process and maintain high standards of financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Acquisition Integration Activities:
- Maintain and manage general ledger mapping from seller to our client.
- Load seller’s trial balance into our client’s system using automated processes.
- Drive month-end journal entries and account reconciliations related to the acquisition.
- Coordinate financial close activities with both seller and internal accounting teams.
- Core Accounting Duties:
- Prepare and enter journal entries in accordance with GAAP and statutory requirements.
- Calculate accruals and estimates for various accounts.
- Perform account and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and proper coding.
- Analyze monthly profit and loss statements, explaining budget variances and trends.
- Support audit processes by preparing and submitting requested schedules and documentation.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business required.
Experience:
- 10+ years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Hands-on experience with networked, computerized, multi-entity accounting systems.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong GAAP knowledge and ability to interpret and apply accounting principles.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities.
- Willingness to work extended hours to meet deadlines as necessary.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and corporate policies.
Work Authorization & Location Requirements:
- This position is fully remote; however, candidates must reside in one of the following states:
AZ, FL, GA, ID, IA, KY, MI, NE, NM, NY (excluding NYC), OH, TX, UT, WA (excluding Seattle), or WI. - Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
