Our Client is hiring Quality Control Technicians to support seasonal operations for their cottonseed processing lab in Bapchule, AZ. This is a hands-on lab role for those passionate about agriculture, lab testing, or quality assurance.
? What You’ll Do
Support the Quality Control Lab Supervisor by conducting seed testing and inspections to ensure product quality meets strict internal standards. You’ll work in both lab and plant environments performing tests and recording results with high accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform testing on fuzzy, processed, and carryover cottonseed including:
Moisture & Temperature
Free Fatty Acid (FFA)
Genetic Purity & Seed Count
Visual Mechanical Damage & Adventitious Presence
pH and overall seed appearance
Operate and clean lab equipment: ovens, seed counters, autoclaves, pipettes, seed dryers, and more
Use magnification tools, samplers, and labware (beakers, test tubes, petri dishes)
Safely handle lab chemicals such as seed treatments, acids, oils, and solvents
Maintain cleanliness and adhere to all safety and SOP protocols
Assist in warehouse bay and outdoor truck sampling as needed
Cross-train with Plant QA team (as applicable)
? Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required (college coursework in biology, chemistry, or agriculture is a plus)
Prior lab, agriculture, or quality control experience highly preferred
Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and perform repetitive tests
Comfortable working in both indoor labs and outdoor sampling stations
Flexible to work overtime and Saturdays during peak harvest season
